Bits and Pieces (March 2017) is a mixed media project featuring both photography and short narratives. The book focuses on the distance between a lukewarm memory and the intensity of remembering. Photographs are purposefully taken to reimagine the objects in the picture. Much like the trick of memory, the reader is meant to feel confused about the passage of time and the following of chronology.

10 Minute Endeavor: A Short Story By Carolyn Ward  (February 2017) is a photo series of Carolyn's sister, Julia, standing in front of the mirror and braiding her hair before dinner. The project emphasizes the mundane and reimagines the moment as more incredible than it may first appear.

The People I Love (February 2018) is a written piece combining both themes from Bits and Pieces and 10 Minute Endeavor. The small square book shares moments of deep love in small snippets. The reader is encouraged to imagine their own moments of shared complexity with those important to them.

Fernbrook (May 2020) is a collection of photographs capturing the woods behind Rodman Ward Jr. and Susan Ward's home in Centerville, Delaware dedicated to and made for the pair. The two of them, Pepe and Moo, are my grandparents. Pepe walked me around the property and shared his favorite views before entrusting creative direction to me. Pepe passed away in March of 2023 and Fernbrook holds an invaluable place in my portfolio as a manifestation of Pepe's steadfast belief in his grandchildren and in my creative passions; he paid me for the piece and thanked me, citing "the early days of Carolyn M. W. productions - what a bargain!."

20 Cards (August 2024) is a collection of 20 homemade greeting cards (including thank you notes, big HAPPY BIRTHDAY's, and thinking of yous all made by Carolyn to raffle off at the famous Great Cranberry Island Ladies Aid Fair. Starting in February 2024, Carolyn became very interesting in creating homemade cards after spending incredible amounts of cash on cards to write to people she loves.
